ملخص البحث
تکمن أهمية هذه الدراسة في أنها تقدم إطار نظري مقترح لتطبيق الحوکمة کآلية لتطوير الأداء الإداري للجامعات السعودية بالاستفادة من نماذج الأنظمة الناجحة على المستوى العالمي؛ مما يعمل علي تلبية الدعوات المنادية بالاهتمام بتطوير الأداء الإداري للجامعات؛ لتنتج مخرجات تتواکب مع مجتمع المعرفة، وتحقيق اقتصاد معرفي ينهض بمواجهة الأزمة الاقتصادية، واستخدام المداخل الإدارية المطورة للنظم الإدارية، والتي على رأسها الحوکمة التي أصبحت من الموضوعات الهامة التي تطرح على جدول أغلب المؤسسات العالمية، ومنها المؤسسات التعليمة لتحقيق العدالة والشفافية والنزاهة والاستثمار الأمثل بما يعمل على تعزيز الاقتصاد. کما ترجع أهميتها في اهتمامها باستطلاع آراء الطلاب ووجهات نظرهم في حوکمة الجامعات التي ينتمون لها، خاصة أنه من المفروض أن يکون لهم تمثيل في مجالس ولجان حوکمتها، بالإضافة لأنها تفيد الفئات التالية:
-       قيادات الجامعات المهتمة بتطوير أدائها الإداري، ومتخذي القرار.
-       واضعوا خطط التطوير بالجامعات، والعاملون على إعادة هيکلة التنظيمات الإدارية وتطوير الأداء الإداري خاصة منسوبي عمادة التطوير والجودة بالجامعات.
-       العاملون بمجال المتابعة والمراقبة.

The importance of this study is that it provides a theoretical framework for the application of governance as a mechanism to develop the administrative performance of Saudi universities by benefiting from successful systems models at the global level.
